we all knew that there will be a new MacBook and MacBook Pro but i didn’t know about the new 24” display which is “the first display made precisely for a MacBook”. you can charge your notebook via the display whcih is very nice. so you can keep your notebook charger in your notebook case and you don’t need to plug / unplug it (by crawling under your table).
it’s going to cost 899$ (i bought my 26″ Samsung Monitor for much less than the half).

i don’t care yet.
hab mir gestern ne incase laptop hülle für mein macbook gekauft (sieht aus wie ein taucheranzug).
und heute rede ich so mit gwynne (englische arbeitskollegin) und da schenkt sie mir doch tatsächlich ihre apple remote fernbedienung (sie hatte noch eine originalverpackte zuviel). jippi! nachden 25Pfund für die tasche kam die ersparnis (fernbedienung kostet eigentlich 15pfund) gelegen. günstig ist das apple zubehör ja nicht wirklich, aber schön sieht’s aus!
jetzt frage ich mich ob jemand von euch geschätzten freunden und lesern vielleicht schon erfahrungen mit remote software gemacht hat? also software, die es einem ermöglich mehr mit der fernbedinung zu machen als die standard features. wie z.b. remote buddy.

One of my colleagues bought the Apple iPod Touch (16 GB).
Really a nice and handy piece. It has wireless (Safari browser, of course) and is realy easy to use.
But if you have bigger fingers than i have, than you could get in trouble using the keyboard.
Conclusion: If you already have an iPod (i have the iPod Nano black 2nd Generation) and if you are happy with it, than there is not really a use for it. Now less than ever, if you have a mobile with wireless. But if you don’t have something like this, than the iPod Touch is really great. I think the iPhone Hype is nearly gone and lot’s of people in Europe won’t buy it. So the iPod Touch + a normal mobile is a nice combination for your mobile home.
By the way: In my point of view the iPod Touch (like the normal iPods) is much to big for using it while jogging (but therefore it plays nice videos, e.g. on YouTube). I still prefer my iPod Nano.

i don’t really want to comment the iphone stuff but i have to say something about the new ipod nano, 3rd edition:
it plays now videos, cool.
it has a new design, uncool – it’s not nice (in my opinion).
it now just looks like creative’s zen player (which also plays videos, btw)
heute haben wir in der vorlesung “content management systeme” passend zum kapitel “mobile content” über apples neues iphone (name gehört eigentlich cisco, weshalb es jetzt auch erstmal ärger von denen gibt) gequatscht.
schnell kamen wir zu steve jobs und seinen legendären auftritten zu sprechen. da viel es mir wie schuppen von den augen:
steve jobs ist göbbels!
nur eben anders – quasi der apple-göbbels. und die vergangene keynote 2007 war nichts weiter als eine große inszinierte propaganda veranstaltung mit etlichen apple anhängern im publikum. sehr geschickt durchgeführt das ganze, weshalb auch der großteil der menschheit darauf reingefallen ist.
wollt ihr das total iPhone?

nicht mit mir. 
ich bin richtig zufrieden mit meinem ipod nano.
nach dem auspacken (ich bin PCler und deswegen ging mir dabei keiner ab: habe also kein fotos gemacht 
) bemerkte ich sofort, dass keine 1000 seitige bedienungsanleitung beilag. war auch nicht nötig – da sehr intuitive handhabung, ab dem ersten moment.
- itunes installieren
- ipod anschliessen
- fertig
mit der handhabung von itunes kam ich auch direkt klar. erstmal ein update der ipod software (automatisch) und dann ging’s los.
jetzt sind ein paar podcasts und ein paar lieder drauf.
mit bildern, software und sonstigen spielereien werde ich mich die tage beschäftigen.

wollte mich grad für den itunes store anmelden (doof, dass itunes hier als browser agiert, ich wette, firefox könnte das besser. ausserdem, wer braucht schon noch “einen weiteren browser”. egal.) doch dort muss man auch seine kreditkarten daten angeben. logisch, ist ja ein shop und wer in einen shop will, der möchte ja auch etwas kaufen. oder? naja ich nicht unbedingt. will eigentlich erstmal nur schnuppern und (viel wichtiger) meine lieder mit der itunes store datenbank abgleichen und die tags auf vordermann bringen und covers runterladen.
