i just started working on my new university project (more about this soon). i am doing a lot of stuff in javascript and wanted to let you know about firebug’s console. it’s great for debugging js stuff.

jeff barr just wrote about a firefox extension which allows you to split your browser window into two. that’s very usefull if you are blogging: you can easily drag and drop images from flickr, or quotes into the blog post (second window). i will give this a try now, to find out if it is more comfortable than just opening two firefox windows.

hm hab nie wirklich NES gespielt aber ich kenne ein paar kumpels (lukas, marcel, …) die es geliebt haben. wie war der name des spiels nochmal? columbs? jedenfalls haben sie den highscore dort so in die höhegeschossen, dass irgendwann die zahlen nicht mehr in die dafür vorgesehene box passten.

hiernmit kann man jetzt die erinnerungen aufwärmen.

Firebug by Joe Hewitt is a great Firefox extension for Web Developers which offers you lot’s of very smart help testing your Web Applications. I really recommend this Plugin.

There is an other Extension which i found today, which is quite useful as well. It’s more for the basic stuff, like disable CSS styles or Cookies. With that Plugin you are able to resize the size of your Firefox window. That’s perfect if you want to develope Websites for 800*600 Pixel. That add-on is called Web Developer, the developer is Chris Pederick.

Firebug is known to make Google Mail slow unless it is configured correctly.

Google suggests to disable Firebug on GMail.

For me it sounds like Firebug slows the AJAX stuff down?

diese firefox extensions widmet sich ausschliesslich den funktionen und der anzeige von tabs.

endlich habe ich die möglichkeit bei vielen tabs, diese in mehreren zeilen anzeigen zu lassen.

endlich gibt es ein offizielles microformats add on für den firefox. michael kaply (ibm) hat sich die mühe gemacht. das teil hört auf den namen “operator” und einen ersten kurzen erfahrungsbericht gibt’s bei pixelsebi.

komme grad aus der fh und lese in etlichen artikeln (z.b. bei efa) meines googlereaders bzw. gmail accounts, dass ich doch bitte das webdeveloper plugin und konsorten deinstallieren und das neue super tolle firebug plugin installieren solle.

gesagt getan. gefällt mir bisher ganz gut, das teil.

ich habe ja mal in meinem vorgänger blog über amerikanische hippie studenten berichtet, welche das firefox logo in ein maisfeld trampelten, um es den aliens google maps zu zeigen.
