the AJAX Libraries API (blog post) takes away the pain of managing your JavaScript libraries. the list will get updated with the latest versions of the APIs as well as additional APIs.
i am currently using it in my project (a youtube mashup… soon more about that) for loading the SWF Object as well as jQuery and jQuery UI.
it doesn’t only save you time developing, also the loading process for the end user should decrease.
Looks really nice. Google released an iPhone optimized Google Earth App. Watch the video or read on at techcrunch.

this is not a stupid fake it really works (even if the style sucks…). after logging out and logging in the standard theme will be back.
Google announced that it is now possible to use their GoogleEarth Application through a browser plugin. it comes with some handsome APIs and features. the supported browsers are IE6, IE7 and Firefox 2.x but unfortunately windows only.
hopefully it won’t take them too long to implement it for the other operating systems out there. Read the rest of this entry »

Today this poped up on the top of my GoogleMail:
Firebug is known to make Google Mail slow unless it is configured correctly.
Google suggests to disable Firebug on GMail.
For me it sounds like Firebug slows the AJAX stuff down?

TechCrunch anounced it yesterday: Google To “Out Open” Facebook On November 5
…
Google’s goal – to fight Facebook by being even more open than the Facebook Platform. If Facebook is 98% open, Google wants to be 100%.
Google will announce a new set of APIs on November 5 that will allow developers to leverage Google’s social graph data. They’ll start with Orkut and iGoogle (Google’s personalized home page), and expand from there to include Gmail, Google Talk and other Google services over time.
And Marc Canter is, of course, very happy to hear that. He is looking forward to see new usefull applications. For me it seems like the PeopleAggregator guys will have no sleep on the 4th of November. 
Google’s newest product is a bookmarking systems like del.icio.us
Google’s “shared stuff” seems to be very easy to start with. I only tried delicious once and (don’t know why) didn’t like it. perhaps i will start now bookmarking with shared stuff.

Unter docs.google.com kann jeder, der einen Google Account hat Dateien hochladen und in einer Art Online-Microsoft-Office bearbeiten.
Excel-Tabellen können unter Firefox und Safari nur sehr schlecht bearbeitet werden. Oft lassen sich die Dokumente nichteinmal öffnen.
Das kollaborative Arbeiten an Word Dokumenten klappt hingegen sehr sehr gut.
Wir haben für das Fach IT-Projectmanagement unsere PIiNCE 2 Dokumente dort zusammen erarbeitet und es ist wirklich sehr einfach und komfortabel.
Auch das anschließende Exportieren in .doc, .pdf oder .html Formate funktioniert recht erfolgreich.
Um hier jetzt nicht zu viel Werbung für Google zu machen:
Es gibt natürlich auch andere dieser “Online Offices” wie zum Beispiel Jubii, auf welches ich durch den agentublogger aufmerksam wurde.

Heute kam der Brief mit dem Pin an, deshalb wollte hier einmal meine bisherigen Erfahrungen mit AdSense kundtun.
Abgesehen davon, dass man natürlich ganz gerne viel mehr Geld bekommen würde halte ich AdSense nach wie vor für eine gute Möglichkeit für kritische Einsteiger. Ich würde niemals irgendwelchen Dubiosen Werbeagenturen so vertrauen wie ich es Google tue. (jaja, böses Google, Datenkrake und so, aber im Grunde find ich die Firma echt toll!)
Einbinden in Wordpress:
Am besten man besorgt sich ein passendes Plugin mit welchem es dann recht einfach ist Werbung unter den Einträgen einzubinden. Ich nutze das Plugin von Phil Hord . Die Werbung kann hier manuell durch einen Platzhalter eingebunden werden.

Fünf Schritte zum Erhalt einer Zahlung:
- Adresse überprüfen
- Steuerinformationen angeben
- Zahlungsart auswählen
- PIN eingeben
- Hat man 50$ auf seinem AdSense Konto erreicht, wird ein Brief mit Freischaltungspin an die Adresse geschickt.
- Einnahmen im Wert von 100 US-Dollar erzielen
Irgendwann zwischen Schritt 3 uns 5 muss man sich anrufen lassen und dann einen Code, welcher auf der Internetseite steht, ins Telefon eintippen.
